Rock shrines
On the anniversary of the deaths of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper, fans congregate in Clear Lake, Iowa where their plane crashed in 1959. Thousands visit from around the world and hold a tribute concert, while some well-insulated fans even make it out to the isolated, snow-covered field where their heroes died.
